GRAJON Engineers Successful Upgrade Design for APP Group's Paper Machine in Indonesia

Responding to an invitation from our client APP Group, GRAJON technical team conducted an in-depth on-site evaluation of their paper machine. This Italian-origin, second-hand machine, commissioned in 2013, required modernization to overcome limitations inherent in its aging structure. APP Group's objectives were clear: increase working speed, boost overall output, and enhance finished paper quality.

We GRAJON team meticulously analyzed the paper machine current operational performance and the specific constraints of the existing mill environment. Combining this detailed assessment with APP Group's strategic goals, GRAJON developed a targeted upgrade design focused on key performance areas:

► Wire Section Enhancement:

Proposed upgrades aim to significantly increase the working speed and operational stability of the wire section (forming section), crucial for higher machine speeds and consistent paper sheet formation.

►Press Section Optimization:

The plan includes upgrading & rebuilding of the press section to boost the dewatering capacity, enabling more efficient water removal before the paper sheet enters the dryer section.

►Drying Capacity Expansion:

To support the increased production speed and capacity, GRAJON's design calls for adding additional dryer cylinders, substantially increasing the machine's overall drying capability.
